A note from Jojo
I am back from 2 days in the Rockies assisting my
friend Sara on a photo shoot. We photographed a kind rancher with his
tools for Popular Mechanics magazine. After our photo shoot we met a
HS friend of Sara's from MA who went 'off grid' and disappeared 10
years ago after graduating at the top of his class at Stanford. We ate
vegan food at a hippy co-op on this tiny town called Paonia. Michael
now known as 'Kale,' lives with his MUCH older girlfriend - very much like Heather - in a tipee on a mountain. Strange and lovely
to meet them. Sara recently found him on FB. It's been a tough 2 weeks
with lots of traveling (to Chicago for work, DC for the inauguration) and illness (winter colds and eye infection).

Patty Dougherty's YOG Family Reunion photos
Inauguration photos from Jennifer Fleming!
Waiting for the bus inauguration morning. NW streets quiet, but that changed when we got close to the Mall. Below: Peggy and Lila on the bus.
On our way to the Mall we practiced the special Follow the Yellow Brick Road skip from the Wizard of Oz. (Megan, Lila, Peggy) It was fun walking down the middle of wide closed streets. They would get very busy in another block.
Where did Lila go?
I think I can see Monterey from here...
We're behind the Washington Monument here, a little less crowded....!
Lila and Jenn!
Random interview for UPI? Who knows?
This is a test of the ability to email directly to the YOG blog...
Celebrating a new era!

The Kings of Cool meet at Peggy & Pat Fleming's favorite Tex Mex Restaurant on Connecticut Avenue the night before the inauguration. That's Jorge in the background! Action figures courtesy Ansel and William Stover-Whilden. Photo by Megan.
